These are all things that you, a boss babe, are no stranger to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You face challenges everyday that push you to your limits, but you are killing it in your business! It can be tough, but you\u2019re tougher. Except maybe you\u2019re starting to feel a little unproductive, isolated, or maybe even depressed. Pursuing your dream of owning your own business does come along with some rad perks (hello, working from home with your cats on your lap!), it can also lead you towards these very real feelings. So how do you combat them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Can Combat Negative Feelings in My Business?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are so many things vying for your attention. You may wonder how to take care of yourself when you\u2019re the CEO, CFO, editor, photographer, designer, janitor and everything else it takes to run your business. Most days, it can seem daunting to even pull your hair up into a messy bun (how many times have you wondered if you\u2019re on day 3 or 4 of no showering? Because same). If you\u2019re like a lot of people, you have multiple jobs, children, or other responsibilities along with your business that make it seem like doing your hair is just another thing to add to the list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The few moments you spend on yourself in the morning can change the course of your day. Start your day by focusing on you for 20 minutes right when you wake up. It will not only change how you feel about yourself, but it could even have a positive impact on your business.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Morning Self Care Routine: What can I do in just 20 minutes?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first thing you should do when you wake up is give yourself the permission to recognize your incredible journey so far. Allow your focus to be on what you\u2019ve accomplished and bring positivity into your day. We all know when we feel good about ourselves, we are more confident to conquer the world. That includes the business world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, make your bed. This will set up your day for success because you\u2019ve already accomplished something. Yay for small wins! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After you\u2019ve made your bed, take 5-10 minutes to meditate. Even going on a 10-minute walk to mentally prepare yourself for the day and get your blood going is a great option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Shower. (okay maybe every other day?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throw on some blush and a bit of mascara. You should also try to put on \u2018real\u2019 clothes as often as possible. Even if you are wearing jeans, a t-shirt and your favorite sneakers, you probably aren\u2019t lying in bed on your computer responding to emails. You are most likely sitting at a desk or your kitchen table, getting your work done in the right mindset. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a simple, physical change that tells your mind you are in work mode. Let\u2019s be honest, no one lounges in jeans. It\u2019s scientifically impossible to feel comfortable hanging out in bed with jeans on.*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*okay, it\u2019s not <em>really<\/em> scientifically proven, but it might as well be!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remember:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During these first 20 minutes of the day, don\u2019t check your phone. I know, it\u2019s where majority of your business is, but think of how distracting your phone can be. These first 20 minutes are for you! Everything else can wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sounds great, but I don\u2019t have the time for a morning self care routine.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you struggle with doing these things already, just start with one thing at a time. There is no need to change everything right now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by waking up 10 minutes earlier every day, or maybe try meditating for a few minutes when you wake up. As you begin adding these small actions to your day, you will start to notice an increase in your mood, productivity, and success. Almost every very successful person has a morning routine they follow to the &#8220;T.&#8221; Plus, almost every successful person starts their day with time spent on themselves.
