Often, the sincerity and authenticity you\u2019ll bring to your email marketing will make up for any industry knowledge or experience you lack.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>With that, let\u2019s dive in!<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Formula #1: Beginning, End, Bridge<\/h2>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>This formula is very simple and helps potential clients visualize their journey from frustration to success.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Step 1<\/strong>: Start with the \u201cbeginning\u201d of your client\u2019s story\u2014or where they are now. Usually, this outlines some frustration or pain point they want to address.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>: Help them imagine what it\u2019s like to be at the end of their story\u2014having accomplished the task at hand, solving their problem, and reaping the benefits of it.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>: End with explaining how to get from \u201cbeginning to end\u201d using you or your services as a solution.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples of <em>Beginning, End, Bridge<\/em><\/h3>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Here are a few ways you could use the <em>Beginning, End, Bridge<\/em> formula to generate more leads for your business.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Example 1<\/strong>: \u201cTrouble engaging customers? The goal of this copywriting formula is to grab your audience\u2019s attention with messaging that spells out the value you\u2019re offering.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>In comparison to the <em>Beginning, End, Bridge<\/em> formula, this formula is best for when the audience might not even know what their problem is. Your job is to spell out why they should be interested in the first place.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples of <em>\u201cSo What?\u201d<\/em><\/h3>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Here are a few ways you could use the <em>\u201cSo What?\u201d<\/em> formula to show your clients how they\u2019ll benefit from working with you.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Example 1:<\/strong> \u201cMore professional app design mockups mean bigger investor commitments and stronger runway to make your dream a reality. Employers are checking your social profiles\u2014greet them with a professional profile image.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Formula #3: The UPWORDS Formula<\/h2>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>One of my favorite options, this creative approach to copywriting is credited to <a href=\"https:\/\/michelfortin.com\/blog\/remember-these-5-copywriting-formulas\/\">Michael Fortin<\/a> and focuses on using relatable imagery and metaphors to expand your writing.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>UPWORDS stands for:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Universal\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Picture\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Words\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Or\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Relatable<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Descriptive<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Sentences<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>In short, use words to create relatable imagery.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Just like a picture is worth a thousand words, so too a metaphor can be worth far more than its character count.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples of <em>UPWORDS<\/em><\/h3>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><em>UPWORDS<\/em> copywriting tends to be a bit more relatable, funny, and even sarcastic. It\u2019s perfect for social media ads or quick captions underneath social videos. By illustrating what you\u2019re talking about with your words, it creates interest and connection.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Example 1:<\/strong> \u201cOnly having polaroids of your wedding day is like taking a honeymoon in Paris \u2026 Idaho. Instead, count on us to capture your most important memories in a way that\u2019ll last a lifetime.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Example 2:<\/strong> \u201cYour logo is like the face of your business. And hiring the wrong person to design your logo is like walking through middle school with a face full of pimples.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>It\u2019s not pretty.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Getting a beautiful, meaningful, powerful, and timeless logo is more affordable than you might think\u2014and it\u2019s worth every penny. And just like mom, you\u2019ll thank us later.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Formula #4: The Fairytale Formula<\/h2>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Based on Sonia Simone\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/copyblogger.com\/marketing-stories\/\">5 Things Every Great Marketing Story Needs<\/a>\u201d, the fairytale formula focuses on making your customer or client a hero in their own story.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Each fairytale needs:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>1. a hero<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>2. a goal<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>3. conflict<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>4. a mentor<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>5. a moral<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Similar to the <em>UPWORDS<\/em> formula, the fairy tale strategy relies on your audience connecting with your words and visualizing exactly what you\u2019re talking about. That\u2019s why we focus on long-lasting, timeless photographs you can count on sharing with your little ones when they\u2019ve found their Prince Charming one day.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Formula #5: PPPP (Picture, Promise, Prove, Push)<\/h2>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>The last formula you can use comes in particularly handy when <a href=\"https:\/\/hbbadmin.reliablepenguin.com\/proposal-software\">preparing to send a proposal<\/a> to a potential client.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>The <em>PPPP<\/em> formula also uses elements from other copywriting formulas, so it comes across a bit more salesy &#8211; perfect for when you\u2019re nurturing leads or talking specifically about your products or services.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Here\u2019s how this copywriting formula breaks down:<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Picture:<\/strong> Help your client picture the outcome your service will provide.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Promise:<\/strong> Make promises that offer solutions with tangible results.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Prove:<\/strong> Use social proof or other statistics to prove they need what you\u2019re offering.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Push:<\/strong> Incite them to take quick action and make a purchase or accept your offer.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples of \u201cPPPP\u201d<\/h3>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>Just because there are four distinct parts of this formula, doesn\u2019t mean you have to have four sentences, emails, or anything particular. Your copywriting should simply include the four elements.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Example 1: \u201c<\/strong>The tuxes have been returned; the honeymoon was magical; the \u201cthank you\u201d cards have been sent. But just because it\u2019s over doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t relive it over and over again.
