And as a mentor for small business owners, I\u2019ve observed that this usually leads to further procrastination.<\/span><\/p>\n In this article, I\u2019m going to walk you through <\/span>5 things that you can do to reduce the pressure and overwhelm of growing your team and set yourself up for success in the long term.<\/b> Once you\u2019ve implemented these five strategies, you can then take advantage of your expanded capacity to slowly introduce best practices and systems that will further support your business.<\/span><\/p>\n Whether you are waiting to find the <\/span>perfect<\/span><\/i> hire or until you have your process <\/span>perfectly<\/span><\/i> mapped out and ready to pass off, waiting until you\u2019re sure the adjustment process will go perfectly will only leave you doing further research, leading to more overwhelm and ultimately out of action.<\/span><\/p>\n If you feel like you aren\u2019t ready to get help because you haven\u2019t figured out <\/span>exactly <\/span><\/i>how to make it all work yet, know that that is actually to be expected. The truth about growing a team is that there will likely be some growing pains, some things won\u2019t go to plan and adjustments will be necessary. And third, it will allow you to fully benefit from their expertise!<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s OK to tweak and perfect your processes as you go and in fact, this will likely create even better SOPs (standard operating procedures) since they will track with what your team <\/span>does <\/span><\/i>rather than what you think you <\/span>should do <\/span><\/i>when you try to map your processes ahead of time.<\/span><\/p>\n In the beginning, build in standing team meetings so that you can communicate what is on your plate and what you need help with.
