I don\u2019t mean super spammy SEO and overly-complicated, make-your-head-spin techniques.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re talking about a down to earth, organic approach. It\u2019s doable and gets results. The changes take time to register with search engines, but consistency and frequency will build your ranking and land you on page-1. <\/span> Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decide what potential customers type when they are looking for your service or products. Identify the problems your customers\/clients face and talk about them on your home page and blog posts.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you highlight the problem, explain how you are the solution. Tell potential clients the way you fix the problem and your unique skills that make you the answer.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Create a strong About Page that emphasizes your unique qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your About Page is the perfect place to help clients understand how absolutely perfect you are for them. It\u2019s a hard balance, but an effective About Page focuses on how you are the solution to their problems. <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sure, there\u2019s space to talk about how much you love coffee, football and long walks on the beach. After all, if a client wants to disconnect from the maker, there\u2019s a Big Box Store down the street. <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, everything you share should reach back to your clients:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re a mom<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8212; how does that help you better understand your clients? <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You love design<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8212; how does that make your product better? <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019ve been to ComiCon 12 years running<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 how does that authenticate what you do?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Create a Call to Action<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The best, most time tested way to get people to act is to\u2026.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ask them.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s the same thing your partner wants you to do when you\u2019re expecting him to do the dishes. Don\u2019t hint. Don\u2019t wish. Don\u2019t assume he\u2019ll do it. Ask, and he\u2019ll act.<\/span> Clients won\u2019t buy, won\u2019t book, won\u2019t sign up unless you ask. What you ask for depends on your business objective.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ready to boost your email list?<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Offer a free download that requires an email address.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want more Instagram followers?<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Blog about what you\u2019re doing and ask them to follow you. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Need to reach your sales goal<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">? Publish a sales page pitching your product.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don\u2019t hint, don\u2019t hide. Don\u2019t assume people will know what you want. A good Call to Action is clear and is simple. Say what you want and show them how to do it.<\/p>\n<h2>Be easy to contact<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have to be pretty darn amazing for a potential client to stick with you if they have to search for ways to contact you. Or, they\u2019ll be really frustrated by the time they do reach you. <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make use of you website\u2019s contact forms. Or create a little html link to open their email client:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Type \u201cEmail Me\u201d or &#8220;Contact Me&#8221; into a post or a page on your site<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Highlight the text and use your editor to make a link<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the link URL type <\/span><a href=\"mailto:YourEmail@Address.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mailto:YourEmail@Address.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> into the link bar<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Links like this keeps the spam bots away and makes you clients happy.
