I hope not, packaging is a powerful tool for photographers; a tool that will help add value to your growing business and help make you a big success.<\/p>\n<p>Packaging has a marketing purpose: it\u2019s meant to physically protect, communicate product information, market, provide convenience, and ultimately provide security of the product. &nbsp;Don\u2019t get me wrong, these are all necessary things in packaging a physical product \u2013 but there is MUCH more to packaging, and as a service-based business that relies on selling something intangible, photographers can get more value out of the use of great packaging.<\/p>\n<p>There are many characteristics that make packaging great. &nbsp;And with increased competition in the photography marketplace, the need to be different and stand out continues to be a never-ending pursuit for most of you. &nbsp;Don\u2019t worry, you take great photos, you capture beautiful moments, don\u2019t change that. &nbsp;Just add these three packaging tips and you\u2019ll boost what you already do so well!<\/p>\n<h2>1. Like the time you wrapped all of your holiday gifts with the cutest \u201cthis is so me\u201d Santa-holding-a-camera wrapping paper and perfectly curled ribbons\u2026 then remembered you forgot to put the \u201cto:\u201d tag on every gift after they were all wrapped.<\/p>\n<p>By being unique with your packaging, you want to accomplish a few of these marketing objectives:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Be memorable- make your brand stand out<br \/>\n&#8211; Be different than everyone else<br \/>\n&#8211; Be visible<br \/>\n&#8211; Reinforce what\u2019s important about you \u2013 your unique selling proposition<br \/>\n&#8211; Be appealing (both visually and tactilely) to your target audience<br \/>\n&#8211; Choose deliverables that speak you \u2013 without you or it actually speaking!<\/p>\n<p>The quest for packaging that reflects your brand can be challenging and time consuming, but when you do find the right fit \u2013 it feels good! And looks good too! &nbsp;This internal confidence of knowing you got something great going on will filter right into you and the service you provide!<\/p>\n<h2>2.
